GOAT LEATHER

The Monsieur Seguin collection is made in genuine goat leather. These leathers come from India and Northern Africa and are tanned in one of the rare traditional tanneries of the south of France.

  • Goat leather can be told apart by its pronounced natural grain.

  • Colors are not modified by exposure to UV rays; a layer of pigment is added during the finish to enhance the colors.

  • This type of leather does not darken, but signs of normal wear will appear.

  • Avoid exposing the leather in your frames with water, greasy substances or cosmetic products for extended periods;

  • Do not expose your frames to extreme temperatures.

Leather care instructions

Clean your frame with natural soap, especially to remove spots or an excess of oil:

  • Place the frame directly under cold water while massaging the leather to help it absorb the water.

  • Apply scent-free natural soap on the front and the branches for a few minutes. You can use Marseille soap or soap made specially for leather.

  • Rinse thoroughly.

  • Dry the frame by patting it with a clean cloth.

  • Let it dry completely overnight.

Remove traces of make-up from the leather:

  • Put some micellar water on the tip of a cotton swab. Remove any excess water and clean the leather.
