HOW TO MOUNT OUR FRAMES

Lens mounting:
Lenses are mounted by removing the bottom screw using the Torx driver provided with your order. We recommend using 1.6 index lenses for the mounting.

Nose pads:
Make sure to use a pair of plyers to hold each nose pad arm whed adjusting the nose pads.

Every frame fitted with titanium nosepads can be changed to a PVC version depending on your preference.

Nylor grooved system:
- groove depth: 0,4 mm
- groove: 0,7 mm

Cow leather recommendations:

Cow leather frames will gain patina over time, the frames will be impacted by skin oil and acidity as well as UV rays. Temples are adjustable both horizontally and vertically.

Cow leather tanned with vegetable products is devoid of any chrome, and thus does not pose any risk of allergies. The skins are subjected to a manual process to give them a smooth texture while maintaining the consistency of the material.
Clean the lenses with a dry or slightly humidified cleaning chamois cloth.
Avoid any extended contact between the leather and water, greasy substances or cosmetic products.
Do not expose to extreme temperatures.

If you need to treat frames to remove excess sebum, you can watch this tutorial video for degreasing frames with powdered clay: https://youtu.be/VnisO2k8dQQ

Goat leather recommendations:

Temples are adjustable both horizontally and vertically.
The different colors of the goat leather collections are UV resistant; the leather will wear out with the passing of time.

Stone recommendations:

The stone can produce abrasive dust that might damage your lenses.
Temples are adjustable both horizontally and vertically.
In order not to scratch the lenses, we suggest using a different cloth for the stone and lenses.
Stone sheets will darken and gain patina over time, colors will change depending on the user and natural wear and tear.

Wood recommendations:

Temples are adjustable both horizontally and vertically.
Do not expose your spectacles to humidity or extreme temperatures.

Exotic leathers recommendations:

Temples are adjustable both horizontally and vertically.
Stingray skin will be impacted by skin oil and acidity as well as UV rays; you can expect the frame to become darker over time.

Refurbishment kit:

Due to skin oil and acidity as well as UVs, cow leather frames develop their own patina and darken with time. They also absorb sebum from being in direct contact with skin. It is possible to remove some of this sebum using our Refurbishment Kit, with clay. Clay absorbs the oil and brings the color back to life.

Each kit comes in a box with the cow leather color chart leaflet documenting the evolution of the color (natural, UV, greasy), 1 brush, 1 clay bag and 5 clear sealable bags.

To restore a cow leather Minotaure frame :

- Dissasemble the spectacles ( nosepads, hinges, screws, lenses)

- Put 4 tablespoons of green clay in a ziploc bag

- Add the front as well as the temples in the bag, make sure the clay is evenly spread over all the parts

- Let it rest overnight

- Take the spectacle out of the ziploc bag

- Using the brush provided, dust the clay from the spectacle, and throw away all the clay you used

- Wash the frame thoroughly with mild soap and water and let it dry well

- Repeat this operation two to three times for an optimal refurbishment

- To speed up the process, heat up the kit at 30° C
